Statement of Faith

"If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

About
God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

We believe that there is one God who exists in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God is the creator of the universe and Father of all mankind. We believe He is the sustainer of life and that He created His creation for His purpose and glory.  We believe that through faith in Jesus Christ by grace alone, we can become heirs of God, His adopted children, and know Him intimately as our Father.

We believe that Jesus Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, is the Son of the living God. He is fully God and fully human. He fulfilled the law and took the punishment of our sins by death on the cross, and rising from the grave three days later. Through His  death and resurrection, he brought forth salvation for all who put their faith in Him as their Savior.

We believe The Holy Spirit has come as a Helper for the purpose of drawing sinners to Christ by convicting us of our sins. For those who place their faith in Jesus, we believe that we are baptized into the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit who imparts new life and righteousness. He is the living God residing in our hearts and empowers and equips believers for sanctification and for bearing fruit for the glory of God.

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the infallible, authoritative Word of God written by men, but inspired by the one true God.

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Mankind

We believe that mankind was created in God’s image, created to worship and glorify Him. Although created righteous, our first parents, Adam and Eve, fell into sin. As a result of their disobedience, all of mankind is born into sin and are separated from God, unable to please Him or walk with Him, apart from Jesus.

“Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.” Ephesians 2:3

Salvation

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, acceptance of the Holy Spirit’s invitation is absolutely essential to be sanctified in Jesus Christ. We believe that salvation is by faith and grace alone, and is a gift of God should we accept it.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

The Church

We believe that, once we are saved by faith, we are born into God’s family and are united in the body of Christ through His Church, in which Jesus is at the head. The Church is made up of people from all over the world, of every race and ethnicity. We believe that we all have a part to play in the body of Christ in order to edify one another and bring glory to God. We believe that we are called the Bride of Christ, in which we will one day be joined together with Jesus, our Bridegroom.

“For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” Romans 12:4-5

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe that Jesus will come again to take His place on the throne to make a new heaven and earth, and those that He calls His children, will live with Him for all of eternity. We believe that we, as His children, are called to prepare for His coming again, and use our gifts to glorify Him and further advance His kingdom.

“And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.” 1 John 2:28
